Consulting
I have been running Linux servers since the mid-90s. Back when you had to actually read the manual.
Over the years that has translated into something useful: I help individuals and small organizations cut through the noise around AI, open source, and digital infrastructure.
What I work on
Open source strategy. Which tools to adopt, which to avoid, and how to avoid getting locked into something you'll regret. I have strong opinions about this and I share them honestly.
AI implementation. Running local models, evaluating cloud services, building simple or complex agentic workflows. I build this stuff for myself first, which keeps the advice grounded.
Privacy and self-hosting. Email, analytics, storage, identity. Most of what you're putting in the cloud you could be running on your own hardware. This website, and a few dozen other (virtual) servers, are running on a few hundred dollars worth of hardware in my office. You can do more on your own hardware for less than you think. I can show you what that looks like in practice, and the pitfalls to avoid.
How I work
I'm a yogi, so I'm flexible. We can spend a morning reviewing your tech-stack, or something bigger.
The net is vast and infinite, I can direct you to simple synthetic solutions.
